I may believe in Bacon, but I need to come clean and say I should no longer call myself a Calvinist. See my essay on Scot McKnight’s, Jesus Creed, appearing about 10 a.m. (CT):

Interesting article, Dave. I’m posting a link here for easy access: http://www.patheos.com/blogs/jesuscreed/2013/06/15/david-g-moore-i-guess-im-not-a-calvinist/
You offer a more complex and complete way of viewing the Reformed tradition. Since I don’t know much about the Reformed Tradition, I learned much even from your short article! You started out describing your understanding of election based on your experience with Cru, hinting that your view has changed. What changed it? What has it changed to?
Hey Lindsey,
Thanks for reminding me to update the link. Just corrected it.
As I mention in the article, I still have “leanings” with a more Calvinistic understanding of salvation, but realize being a Calvinist includes so much more.
