He\u2019d see that all his wishes, his efforts, his dreams, his ambitions are motivated by other men. He\u2019s not really struggling even for material wealth, but for the second-hander\u2019s delusion\u2014prestige.&#8221;<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>It is interesting to see this in light of my present study of Jeremiah.\u00a0 Jeremiah makes it clear that there are really only two options: follow God or follow idols.\u00a0 If you do the latter, then shame will be your forever bedfellow.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/div>\n<p><strong>So Rand is correct that there are two options: caring what other folks think or not.\u00a0 Her &#8220;how not to care about other people&#8217;s view of you&#8221; is very different than the Bible&#8217;s, but she gets that there is a true dichotomy.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From Ayn Rand: &#8220;Listen to what is being preached today.
