My dad taught me at a young age about “Palegas,” one of the first memory aids I learned. \u00a0It represents the “Seven Deadly Sins” which are pride, avarice, lust, envy, gluttony, anger, and sloth. \u00a0I can recall them with little effort.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some of you may know that there has been an attempt to link the seven characters on Gilligan’s Island to the seven deadly sins. \u00a0No kidding.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One guy says the seven sins are represented by everyone except Gilligan.\u00a0 In this scheme, the Skipper got tagged with both gluttony and<\/em> anger, so Little Buddy ends up as Satan!<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is interesting that the so-called “Seven Deadly Sins” are about as relevant today as Thurston Howell’s (the III!) musings about the stock market.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
