The Mystery of Marriage <\/i>by Mike Mason<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is not your typical \u201chow to\u201d marriage book which is what makes it so good.\u00a0 Beautiful writing combined with wonderful insights.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Good Christians, Good Husbands?\u00a0 <\/i>By Doreen Moore<\/strong><\/p>\n

Granted, there is bias with my recommendation, but professors at three seminaries now use it, a CEO told me it was one of the best books he\u2019s ever read, and J.I. Packer said this:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cResourced by thorough research into the marriages of Wesley, Whitefield and Edwards, this is a truly wise book on the problem of combining ministry and marriage to the glory of God and the good of all concerned.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

John Adams<\/i> by David McCullough<\/strong><\/p>\n

Well, not the whole thing (!), though it is an incredible read.\u00a0 Rather, for the correspondence between John and Abigail.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Booked<\/i> by Karen Swallow Prior<\/strong><\/p>\n

Actually, it is just one chapter from Karen\u2019s terrific book, the one on Madame Bovary.\u00a0 After I interviewed Karen, I told her I wished every couple in America would read that chapter.\u00a0 They would learn to have a better and more mature view of love.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Contrarian\u2019s Guide to Leadership<\/i> by Steven Sample<\/strong><\/p>\n

I know, it seems like a book on business leadership, but it really is a book to help you develop discernment and wisdom.\u00a0\u00a0 It offers sage counsel on how to navigate the choppy waters of American life.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sacred Marriage<\/i> by Gary Thomas<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have read several of Gary\u2019s books.\u00a0\u00a0 Even though this is not one of my favorites of his, there are some important themes he covers.<\/strong><\/p>\n
