Coming out of our local Barnes & Noble tonight I rolled over a couple of speed humps (or speed bumps as they are also called).\u00a0 It made me wonder why there will be no need for speed humps in the New Heavens and New Earth: we are no longer tempted to rush about.\u00a0 We will then know implicitly that God has given us plenty of time (to speak of eternal life as timelessness may not be the best way to put it) for the work He has entrusted to us.\u00a0 Yes, we will work in heaven, but both the process and<\/strong> product will deeply satisfy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So next time you roll over a speed hump use it as a reminder that then as well as now God has given you plenty of time to do His will.\u00a0 But He has not given us enough time to do both our agenda and His.\u00a0 That’s the rub for me!
